Meet Our Family
At Brasken Labradoodles, we prioritize the well-being and socialization of our puppies. Each puppy is hand-raised for the first eight weeks of life, receiving individual attention and care. Our puppies are introduced to several different sounds, sights, textures, touch, animals, and individuals of different genders, ages, and sizes. This approach increases the likelihood that our puppies develop excellent temperaments and are well-adjusted to human and animal companionship.

The money is definitely worth it - the puppies come registered to the ALAA, dewormed, etc.
In addition to the dogs, the customer service is completely unmatched. In our every encounter they have been kind, helpful, and overall amazing.

About 10 months ago we welcomed our new dog from Brasken Labradoodles, and it's been an amazing experience. It's clear they prioritize the well-being of their dogs. Their thorough adoption process, including an interview, gave us confidence that we were getting a dog that would thrive in our home. They also took the time to educate us on proper dog care, which was incredibly helpful for first-time dog owners like us.
Brasken Labradoodles perfectly matched us with our new furry friend. They listened carefully to our needs as a big family with young children and recommended the ideal dog for our lifestyle. Our Australian Labradoodle, Otis, has become an irreplaceable part of the family. He's incredibly patient with our 2-year-old and loves everyone he meets. He's also easygoing, adaptable, and full of joy. Training has been a breeze thanks to Otis' intelligence and eagerness to please.
We can't recommend Brasken Labradoodles enough. Their dedication to responsible breeding and their commitment to finding the perfect match for both dog and owner are truly commendable. They're a big reason why Otis has brought so much love and happiness into our lives.
Adoption Process & Timeline
We are so proud of our Brasken Labradoodles adoption process, so we want you to learn more about it. We make sure each family is fully prepared and each puppy is placed in the right home. Here’s what you can expect from the moment you decide to join our waitlist:
Reserving Your Spot with a Deposit
To begin, we require a deposit to secure your place on our reservation list. This determines the order in which families will select their puppies. Once your spot is confirmed, we’ll stay in touch with expected timelines, upcoming pairings, and what to expect next. It also gives us the opportunity to learn more about your home, lifestyle, and what you’re hoping for in your future Labradoodle.
Puppy Announcement and Weekly Photo Updates
When the litter arrives, we’ll reach out with a puppy announcement so you can celebrate along with us. Starting from week one, we send weekly photo updates so you can follow the puppies’ development as they grow and change. We know how exciting (and hard!) the wait can be, so we do our best to make you feel part of the journey. We often hear from families that these weekly photos help them bond with their puppy well before pickup day..
In-Person Selection Based on Deposit Order
Once evaluations are complete, we move on to puppy selection, which is done in the order deposits were received. We require all families to meet both us and their puppy in person, either on pickup day or beforehand, whatever works best for your location and comfort. We’ll guide you through the process and offer recommendations based on what we’ve learned from the evaluations and your preferences. Our goal is always to help you choose a puppy that fits naturally into your family’s lifestyle and energy.
Temperament + Structural Evaluation at 6 Weeks
At six weeks of age, each puppy goes through a professional temperament and structural evaluation. This helps us understand their unique personalities, confidence levels, physical build, and other features. These insights are invaluable in making pairings between puppies and families. It also gives you a clearer picture of what each puppy might be like in an adult home environment.
Zoom Orientation + Vet Booklet at 7 Weeks
Around the seven-week mark, we host a live Zoom orientation where we walk you through everything you need to know before pickup. This includes going over your puppy’s vet booklet, feeding guidelines, crate tips, grooming basics, and transition strategies. We want you to feel confident and supported as you prepare your home. This is also a great time to ask questions and connect with other new puppy families in the same litter.
Pickup at 8 Weeks
Puppies are ready to head home at eight weeks, and pickup is scheduled individually so we can spend time with each family. We’ll review the final paperwork, send you off with your puppy pack, and go over any last-minute questions. It’s an emotional, joyful day and one we never take for granted. Don’t be surprised if we shed a few happy tears with you.
Lifetime Support After Pickup
Our relationship doesn’t end when you drive away; in fact, it’s just beginning. We’re here for you with lifetime support, whether you need training tips, health guidance, or just want to share your puppy’s latest adventure. We love staying in touch and watching our puppies thrive in their new homes. Once you’re part of our community, you’re family for life.
What Makes Us Different
We know you have options when it comes to finding a puppy, but we also know this: how your puppy is raised and who you get them from matters more than most people realize. We pour our hearts into this, and it shows in our dogs and the families they go home to.
Lifetime Support for Every Puppy
We're committed to every puppy we raise — not just for eight weeks, but for life. Whether your dog is eight months or eight years old, we're always just a call or message away. Questions about diet, behavior, grooming, or health? We've seen it all and we're here to help, no matter how small the concern. Our families often say knowing they're never alone has made all the difference in their puppy journey.
Private Alumni Facebook Group
When you take home one of our puppies, you also join a close and friendly community of fellow owners who've been exactly where you are. Our private Facebook group is a place to ask questions, share milestones, and stay in touch with littermates. It's an ongoing source of advice, encouragement, and, of course, plenty of puppy photos. We love seeing updates years later: birthdays, beach days, and lazy Sundays. This group is an extended family.
Required In-Person Visit Before Pickup
We believe that responsible puppy adoption is personal and intentional. That's why we require every family to meet us (and their puppy) in person before pickup. This is how we get to know you better and gives you a chance to meet the puppies, the parents, and our environment. You'll see firsthand how your puppy has been raised and socialized. It's an important step in making sure everyone feels confident and connected before bringing a new life home.
Personalized Puppy-Family Matching Based on Temperament
Every puppy has a unique personality, and every family has a different rhythm and lifestyle, so our job is to connect the two. We don't believe in one-size-fits-all matches or simply picking based on looks. Our detailed evaluations allow us to understand each puppy's temperament, energy level, and thus ideal environment. We then guide families towards the best fit, making suggestions with your specific needs in mind. The result? A smoother transition and a stronger lifelong bond.
Every Puppy is Vet-Checked
Your puppy's health and well-being is our top priority, which is why each one receives a full veterinary exam before going home. Our vet checks for heart, lungs, joints, bite alignment, eyes, and more. You'll receive a copy of the report for your records, along with vaccination and deworming details. We want your family to start out with full peace of mind and transparency. Healthy puppies build the foundation for happy, confident dogs.
2-Year Health Guarantee
We proudly stand behind the health of our Labradoodle puppies for sale in California with a written 2-year genetic health guarantee. This covers life-impacting hereditary conditions and reflects the care we put into responsible breeding. All of our breeding dogs are health tested to the highest standards before ever producing a litter. This is part of our commitment to ethical practices and long-term family satisfaction. We want you to feel confident knowing your puppy comes from a top-quality program.
Types of Labradoodles We Breed
While all Brasken Labradoodles are raised with the same love and care, we know families often have a vision of the pup that’s just right for them, from color and size to coat type and temperament. These are the Brasken Labradoodle varieties we breed.
Red Labradoodles have rich, eye-catching coats that range from deep mahogany to lighter copper tones. Their wavy or curly fleece coats are typically low to non-shedding and easy to fall in love with.
Chocolate Labradoodles come in shades from milk chocolate to a dark, almost coffee nuance. Their coats may fade slightly over time to a soft café or lavender tone. Their fleece coats are usually soft and allergy-friendly.
Mini Labradoodles typically grow to 15–30 pounds and are the perfect fit for families in smaller homes or apartments. Don’t let their size fool you, they’re smart, spirited, and full of love. Their coats may be curly or wavy.
Apricot Labradoodles are warm and sun-kissed in color, often resembling a soft golden nuance with a pinkish tint. This shade pairs beautifully with black or liver noses. Their coats range from silky waves to tighter curls.
Golden Labradoodles are classic and timeless, with buttery coats that vary from pale cream to warm gold. They often have a happy-go-lucky personality and love to be part of family routines. These pups are ideal for families seeking that classic “doodle” look with low-shedding coats.
Medium Labradoodle for sale typically weigh between 30–45 pounds and are a great “in-between” size — large enough for active play but still manageable indoors. Their size makes them a popular choice for families with children or those who want a balance of energy and calm. Coats are generally fleece and easy to maintain with regular brushing.
Australian Labradoodle Puppies
Australian Labradoodles for sale are the result of generations of careful breeding. They have consistent temperament, allergy-friendly coats, and therapy-like personalities. We focus on this line for its predictability and gentle nature. Australian Labradoodle puppies from California typically have soft fleece coats and come in all colors and patterns.
Parti Labradoodles have playful, eye-catching markings, typically white coats with large patches of another color like chocolate, red, or apricot. No two are ever alike! They’re popular for families who want a puppy that really stands out, with the same loving temperament and low-shedding coats we’re known for.
Standard Labradoodle Puppies
Standard Labradoodles puppies for sale are the largest size we breed, generally ranging from 50–65 pounds. They’re gentle giants: affectionate, smart, and deeply bonded with their people. Ideal for families with space to roam or active lifestyles.

Service Areas
We know you have options when it comes to finding a puppy, but we also know this: how your puppy is raised and who you get them from matters more than most people realize. We pour our hearts into this, and it shows in our dogs and the families they go home to.
As reputable Labradoodle breeders in Northern California, we regularly work with families from Northern California, including:
and many more, like Oakland, Berkeley, Santa Rosa, Stockton, etc. This area sees a wide range of weather, from hot inland summers to damp, chilly winters, so we focus on preparing our puppies for comfort in all seasons.
Our fleece-coated Labradoodles do well with proper grooming and make great companions for families who enjoy active outdoor lifestyles, no matter the weather. Pickup is simple from the north via US-101, and we’re always happy to coordinate travel times that work best for your schedule.
Located right here in Atascadero, we’re at the heart of California’s Central Coast, easily accessible from:
as well as Clovis, Hanford, Madera, and even the Central Valley via California State Route 41 and US-101. Brasken is consider as one of the most reputable Labradoodle breeders in Central California for years.
Central California’s climate is dry and dusty much of the year, with warm days and cooler nights, so regular coat care is key to keeping your Labradoodle comfortable. Being local and one of the best Labradoodle breeders in California means you can come for in-person visits and early bonding.
We welcome many SoCal families who make the trip north to meet their new puppy. They heard about us when talking to friends and other dog lovers about reputable Labradoodle breeders in Southern California. Many of our puppies today live in:
With its long hot seasons and limited shade in many neighborhoods, Southern California‘s climate can be tough on dogs not bred for it, but our Australian Labradoodles tend to tolerate the heat well with their light, airy fleece coats. We offer guidance on grooming, hydration, and lifestyle adjustments to help your pup transition easily into the warmth of SoCal living. US-101 makes travel from the south straightforward.
While we always encourage families to pick up their puppy in person, we know that sometimes life (or distance) makes that tricky. For returning families or special cases (like trusted referrals or out-of-state buyers) we may be able to offer flight nanny delivery. Your puppy will travel safely in-cabin with someone we know and trust, never alone or in cargo. It’s a premium option we offer very selectively, because we want every pup’s first journey to be full of care. Just ask us if you think it might be the right fit for your situation.
Health Guarantee
Every puppy from our program is covered by a 2-year health guarantee against life-impacting genetic and congenital conditions. This includes issues that would severely affect quality of life or long-term well-being, such as certain hereditary heart, joint, or organ conditions. All of our breeding dogs are thoroughly health-tested to minimize risks and produce strong, resilient puppies.
We also require that every family schedule a veterinary visit within 72 hours of pickup. This initial checkup confirms your puppy’s health and creates a baseline with your own vet. It also activates the health guarantee, so it’s an important and necessary step
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a fleece and a wool coat?
Fleece coats are soft, wavy, and low-shedding, the most popular type for families wanting that signature Labradoodle California look and feel. They’re easier to brush out and feel almost like a plush blanket. Wool coats are denser and curlier, more like a poodle’s, and usually even lower-shedding, but they require more grooming. Both are allergy-friendly and come in a range of gorgeous colors.
Are your Labradoodles hypoallergenic?
While no dog is completely hypoallergenic, our Australian Labradoodle for sale is as close as it gets. They were originally bred for allergy sufferers, and many families with sensitivities do great with our fleece-coated pups. Their low-to-no shedding coats reduce dander and allergens around the home. We’re happy to talk with you about your specific concerns.
How often will my Labradoodle need grooming?
Brasken doodles need regular grooming to stay healthy and mat-free, brushing a few times a week and professional grooming every 6–8 weeks is ideal. Their soft, non-shedding coats can get tangled if not maintained. Starting grooming routines early helps puppies get comfortable with the process and makes it easier long-term. We’ll guide you through what to expect.
Can I choose my puppy's gender or color?
You’re welcome to share your preferences, and we do our best to honor them, but placement is based on temperament first. Matching puppies to the right homes means we look at energy levels, confidence, and family needs before color or gender. That said, we work closely with each family during selection week to make sure you feel great about your match.
Are your puppies exposed to children, other pets, or everyday household sounds?
Yes, from day one, our labradoodle puppies for sale are raised right in our home, not in a kennel or separate facility. They grow up hearing vacuums, TVs, and kitchen noises, and many interact with our own children and family pets. This early exposure helps them adjust more easily to busy family life. It’s part of why our puppies settle in so quickly after going home.
What do I need to bring on pickup day?
On pickup day, bring a leash, collar, a soft blanket or towel for the ride home, and a crate if you’re traveling longer distances. We’ll send you home with a puppy care bag, including food, records, and helpful info. Make sure to plan for a quiet, low-stress day — it’s a big transition, and your puppy will need time to rest and settle in. We’ll be there to answer any last-minute questions before you head out.
