Central California Labradoodle Breeder
As a leading Labradoodle breeder in Central California, we’re dedicated to raising exceptional puppies that stand out for their friendly personalities, health, and ability to become beloved family companions.

About Us
Brasken Labradoodles was founded in 2007 after Brandon and Kristen Silva’s fortuitous encounter with an Australian Labradoodle in service training at Universal Studios Hollywood. Their fascination with the breed’s intelligence and temperament led them to create a breeding program focused on excellence and ethical practices.
At Brasken, we are dedicated to raising top-tier Labradoodles. We maintain a small group of breeding dogs at our home while placing others in carefully selected guardian homes.
Originally bred as allergy-friendly service dogs by combining the Labrador Retriever’s friendly nature with the Poodle’s hypoallergenic coat, Labradoodles today are cherished for their temperament and versatility. Brasken Labradoodles is proud to continue this tradition, specializing in multi-generational Labradoodles known for their health, intelligence, and well-rounded personalities.

Central California Factors Affecting Labradoodles
Living in Central California is a great environment for Labradoodles, but it’s still important for local families to consider how regional conditions might influence their dogs. From the warm, dry summers to the active outdoor lifestyle, here are a few factors that can impact Labradoodles in this area:
- Climate and Heat Sensitivity: Central California is known for its hot, dry summers. Labradoodles, especially those with thicker, fleece coats, may require extra care during warmer months, including access to shade, fresh water, and avoiding outdoor activity during peak afternoon heat.
- Seasonal Allergies: The region’s seasonal pollen levels can affect not only humans but also dogs. Labradoodles may experience mild skin or respiratory sensitivities, especially during spring and summer when grass and flowers are in full bloom.
- Outdoor Lifestyle: With abundant parks, trails, and outdoor spaces, Labradoodles in Central California have opportunities for plenty of physical activity. This active lifestyle benefits their temperament and energy levels
- Coat Maintenance in Dusty, Dry Conditions: The dry, sometimes dusty air common in Central California can lead to coat matting or dry skin if not properly managed. Regular brushing and coat care are important.
- Access to Veterinary Care and Training Resources: Central California has numerous veterinary clinics, pet services, and dog-friendly amenities.

Our Breeding Standards
At Brasken Labradoodles, the highest breeding standards come first. We do everything necessary to raise healthy and well-tempered puppies, a perfect fit for loving families. Our breeding program is built on ethics.
Comprehensive Health Testing
We conduct extensive health screenings on all our breeding dogs to guarantee they are free from genetic conditions commonly found in Labradoodles. This includes testing for hip and elbow dysplasia, eye diseases, and other hereditary concerns to promote strong, long-lived puppies.
Temperament and Socialization
From birth, our puppies are exposed to various sights, sounds, and experiences to help them develop into confident, well-adjusted companions. We follow structured socialization protocols, including Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), to create a calm and friendly temperament.
Ethical Breeding
We prioritize responsible breeding, which means we never overbreed our dogs and each parent dog has a high quality of life. Many of our breeding dogs live in loving guardian homes, where they are part of a family rather than a kennel-based program.
Optimal Nutrition and Care
Proper nutrition plays a crucial role in the early development of our puppies. We provide high-quality, nutrient-rich diets for both our parent dogs and their litters. Puppies also receive regular veterinary checkups and deworming.
Support for Families
Our commitment to our puppies doesn’t end when they leave for their forever homes. We offer ongoing support and guidance to new owners, helping them with training, health concerns, and any questions that arise throughout their Labradoodle’s life.

What's the difference between Australian Labradoodles and regular Labradoodles?
Australian Labradoodles come from multi-generational breeding, incorporating additional breeds like the Cocker Spaniel for consistent coats and temperament. Regular Labradoodles are typically first-generation mixes between a Labrador and a Poodle. Another difference between Australian and regular Labradoodles is that Australian puppies tend to have a bit more predictable traits, especially regarding coat type and allergy-friendliness.
