GUARDIAN HOMES

Guardian Program

Brasken is always looking for responsible families in both Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties to become Guardians. Being a Guardian is defined as adopting one of Brasken’s breeding dogs or potential breeder puppies and partnering with us in our breeding program. Dogs in Guardian homes must return to our home for breeding and/or birthing puppies for a contracted amount of times, or until the dog reaches a certain age. This gives our breeding dogs a stable home/family in between breedings and they get to retire with their forever family when they have fulfilled their breeding requirements. The Guardian pays no adoption fee but must care for all routine vet and care costs. Brasken will cover all breeding related expenses.

"Most of our breeding dogs go into their Guardian families as puppies, so we do not typically have adult dogs available for this program. Please email or call us to see what current guardian puppies we have available."
